To cap off Awards season, the crew of the Casual Cinecast reacts to the Oscars and, with their own unique categories, hands out their Casual Cinecast Awards to the films and TV shows of 2018! 

At the last minute, the Casual Cinecast changed their main review from Alita: Battle Angel, to the Oscar nominated film Shoplifters. However, if you watched the wrong movie, don't worry! There is still a lengthy discussion on Alita: Battle Angel, and much more! There's also a follow-up conversation regarding the most recent changes to the Academy Awards broadcast for 2019 we discussed last week! 

It's not very often the Casual Cinecast does a documentary as their main review, but They Shall Not Grow Old was just too interesting to pass up. Mike, Justin and Chris head to the theater to see Peter Jackon's new World War I documentary, as it has (finally) gotten a proper theatrical release!
