While the Disney/FOX merger is still up in the air, FOX is not laying down as they continue to plan and push for new films in the X-men  Universe, as well as possible Fantastic Four Spin-offs.

 

With Disney buying out many of 21^st Century Fox’s major assets, the House of Mouse will now have control of all of Fox film properties, such as Fantastic Four and X-Men. What does this mean for the future of film and television, and the MCU in particular?

Disney could own another major movie studio soon as 21st Century Fox has engaged in talks to sell a vast majority of their company.  More details below.

Out of SDCC comes news that Fox is currently working on a new take on the Fantastic Four universe with a movie focused entirely on Doctor Doom being developed by Legion and Fargo creator, Noah Hawley.  

There have been four not-so-fantastic attempts to bring Marvel’s Fantastic Four to the big screen. After so many failures, is there still hope for this foursome as a film franchise? Without even a comic book on the market to help promote it, is there any hope for a future FF film or is the damage already done?
